About the Boat
Your sunset charter takes place aboard Vagabond, a Beneteau Oceanis 393 sailing yacht with comfortable outdoor seating, cabin space, and a restroom onboard.
Vagabond is a real cruising sailboat, which makes it a great fit for guests who want an authentic Chicago sailing experience rather than a generic boat ride. The setting is private, scenic, and relaxed.
Good to Know Before Booking
Sunset timing changes throughout the season, so the exact lighting, route, and view may vary based on your charter date.
Routes are planned around weather, lake conditions, timing, and captain discretion. Light wind, cooler temperatures, and changing lake conditions are normal parts of sailing in Chicago.
Groups under six guests are booked as a private charter with a captain included. Groups of 7–10 guests are booked as a bareboat rental and require a separate captain arrangement under U.S. Coast Guard rules. Instructions are provided after booking so the process is clear and easy to follow.
For weather holds, reschedules, and cancellation timing, review our Weather & Cancellation Policy.
